The Hunt for Experience (Singapore Edition): The Elusive Chanteuse Show

The night of the 24th of October is all the reason why we went all the way to Singapore. It was a lifetime dream and finally will come true. We were thrilled so we got off the train and reached the stadium in no time. Our hearts started beating excitedly when we saw the concert poster before the Stadium entrance. We got so elated and high that we deliriously convinced ourselves that we needed to buy a $160.00 worth of jacket for the concert.

Why did we go to Singapore to watch the Elusive Chanteuse Show? Because it is way cheaper to get a VIP seat there and, at the same time, get to travel overseas. It was hitting 2 birds in a stone situation. We arrived a little early before the concert started at exactly 9PM.

It was an experience. Seeing Mariah up close is a moment I will never forget my entire life. I have dreamt about it a million times and when it was finally there, I had to savor every bit of it. I was transported back to being a kid again enthusiastic to see an icon I admired my whole life. I went closer to see her perform. I looked like an obsessed fan standing alone in an area while I dance, cry, cheer and clap all at the same time. I thought it was a once in a lifetime experience so might as well make the most of it. I paid no mind in my surrounding. It was as if it was just me and Mariah in that stadium. It was magical. I felt as if I was a child seeing Jollibee for the first time. I knew she’d make me cry. My partner was equally ecstatic and elated. It was truly a moment we will never forget. A dream come true for both of us indeed.

The concert lasted for 2 hours before wrapping it up with her encore song, Always Be My Baby. We went out feeling magical.

We met up with fellow lambs so we can continue the after party elsewhere. The whole MRT ride was a feast as we see other lambs singing their favorite Mariah song as we travel down the party place. A friend recommended for us to try one of Singapore’s popular gay bars, The Tantric Bar. It was a gay melting pot full of gorgeous men dancing in the music of, who else, Mariah Carey. We entered and ordered our drink before we danced the night away.

It was one hell of a day: shopping, watching the concert of our life and celebrating the after party at a gay bar. Can it be any better?
