Our
weekend quest for anything artsy brought us to Manila. It has been a long time
and most of us needed the creative inspiration we can get. We thought it is
just necessary to have some culture going into our bloodstream again. So we
opted to visit our beloved National Museum. The trip going there was a breeze. I
super love what they did in Manila now. The traffic flow is fantastic and far
from traumatizing like how I remembered it when I was in college. This reminds
me, there is hope.
Now
that I’ve had my fair share of making my own art, I had a different view of the
pieces I once seen way back. It is nice to appreciate the works of our greatest
Filipino masters in a deeper perspective, I thought. Each stroke has a story to
tell, a lesson to teach and an experience to imbibe. It felt really amazing to
experience it all over again. It definitely gave a fresh breathe of inspiration
to keep making my own art.
My friends wanted to visit the National Museum. We wanted to check out the paintings there.
ReplyDeleteu should. it is super nice now. there are more exhibits and art pieces to admire now
DeleteThe facade of the museum looks like an art in itself, he,he,he.
ReplyDeletei agree. but it think they are just renovating it
DeleteAng creepy ng dating sa akin ng ikalawang larawan.
ReplyDeleteYung ikatlo naman ay nakakakilabot na malungkot.
Matagal na rin noong una at huli kong nabisita ang National Museum.
Marami na bang bago? :)
i agree. i love how they did the eyes in their sculptures back then. its as if they have no souls but full of stories to tell. its kind of majestic for me. its true that the 3rd photo brings sadness to its audience.
