Then I suddenly thought of going through my old stuff that were buried in my “abubot” clutter box. I saw my old journals and thought of up-cycling it. So it was a perfect merge: my old writings to be transformed into my current art technique. I thought it was exciting and something therapeutic. This time, my thoughts and written sentiments dating back over 10 years ago can be transformed into art. I had to set some rules though:
- The art should preserve the old notes I wrote in the paper
- The art work should be unplanned and I should let my hands and deep emotions guide my paint brush
- There should be no particular concept that would limit me so I can really show raw emotions into it
- The art process should be a therapy or an escape from all the stress and worries I have
In order for me to be really committed about it, I am putting up a new segment in my blog I call, Art Journal Therapy. It should be a weekly Art post I am committing to my audience (If ever there is). I wanna post it every weekend at 10 AM for someone who might see and be inspired by it. If this becomes a success I will definitely recommend it to you guys, too. I think it is fun, nostalgic and it definitely heals the soul.
So watch out for my weekly post on my Art Journal Therapy and I hope to hear it from you. Although the Art Journal Therapy may come on a later part of October, the 18th that is.
