Ugoy

UGOY
15” x 20”
Oil and Acrylic on Canvas

A Private collection of Mr. Denver Trinidad

It was an experimental painting I did some time ago. I wanted something different from what I usually do so I decided to put a mask on an empty canvas before painting the piece. I just had to go with my instinct  It took me months to paint something on the canvas because I really don’t know what to do with it.

Finally “Ugoy” came through and I was happy to share the piece. It can be considered a bit compelling and sometimes surreal. This represents serenity a midst the piercing eyes of the society. You keep silent, close your eyes, focus and smile with fierceness as you let them criticize and envy you.

You can only find peace when you search it within you
