Get Tested

Last summer, while bathing in the sand, we got the perfect opportunity to face our fears. After having lunch, a guy approached us and invited to have a small talk in their tent. It was nerve wracking because you somewhat have this fear, no matter how virginal you can be that you have it. From education to counselling we did it. Then it’s time to take the test, blood was withdrawn and waited for a good 15 minutes. It was negative. Post counselling was a good thing. This NGO's advocacy to conduct free HIV testing to the community is commendable. After coming clean, the best way you can possibly help is by donating, at least a bag of your blood. I learned that they are in great need of blood donors and as much as I wanted to, I can’t due to my hypertension. So this post is to encourage everyone to get tested regularly and donate blood for the needy. Lets help each other to attain the goal of HIV free country.
