As a registered nurse, my family expects me to be the bread winner next to my eldest sister who now lives in the states. After choosing to live my life where I feel I would enjoy it, it is far from earning what my family expects me to so I can give them more than what’s necessary. Is it really being selfish to choose not to go abroad to support your family? I just thought, working abroad is not the answer for everything. After all, surviving is what’s necessary over a plain and simple luxury.

  1. Pursue what makes you happy. If you love what you do, you can't ignore being good at it. Chase excellence and success will follow.

"I just thought, working abroad is not the answer for everything."

And super like on this one. :-)

  2. People have this misconception that a nurse earns huge amounts of money. Yes but not here in our country where most earn minimally.

Just as long as you feel satisfied and fulfilled there you shall see that life really is not all about the money, it may contribute but not entirely the end-all-and-be-all.
