Blab: Biracial Hypocrisy

I’m half Japanese-half Filipino and I am proud of it. I get disappointed at times when biracial people only acknowledge the other part of who they are. I often see Hollywood Fil-Ams who do that on interviews. When we’re all aware that the other parent is pure Filipino, they would usually say, “But it’s a mix of Chinese, Spanish and all other races” basically getting away and much as possible detaching their association with their Filipino race. Shame on the people who do that. I am a Filipino and I am damn proud of it.

  1. It's very rare someone famous will openly say, Hey, I'm Filipino!

  2. Isa lang ang masasabi ko sa kanila...they are US citizens, so they are not Filipino. Hindi ko din nga maintindihan minsan ang media. Just to have a story ipinagsisiksikan nila ang Fil-Am na word. In the first place, hindi naman nila kinikilala ang roots nila, of course with the exception of Apple d'apps.

  5. this is a type of self-loathing that is common to all humans and something that existed before nations existed in all human groups especially in bilateral family organization.
